“Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say” (Exodus 4:12)
The above scripture is what Yah told Moses, and by His spirit is what He speaks to His prophets of today! True prophets never speak on their own authority or share their personal opinions, but deliver the message Yah Himself gives them [Duet 18:18] [Jer 1:9] [Ezek 2:7] [Hos 1:2] [Joel 1:1] [Micah 1:1] [Zeph 1:1] [Jonah 1:1]. Amos claimed, “This is what the Lord says” [Amos 1:3]. Yah tells us that if a prophet says,” Let us follow other gods…and let us worship them” he is to be rejected (Deut 13:2-3). This worshiping of other gods includes money prophesy, materialistic/worldly prophesy without ANY mention of Yah or directing the person to repentance, and pursuing a life of holiness. Here’s an example, a person that receives a “you’re going to be rich” prophecy and they’re living in sin but the prophet doesn’t mention their sin or their need to repent (Jer 23:22)(Isaiah 30:9) , this will cause that person to wait anxiously for that money to come (following other gods) and enjoying the life that being rich can offer without repenting of their sins, seeking Yah, or pursuing a life of holiness (worshiping other gods). Following and worshiping other gods is not limited to calling the name of another god and sacrificing to it; worshiping and following other gods is ANYTHING that takes precedence in your life above Yah Almighty. Yah said for us to REJECT the prophet that prophesies in such manner; but most likely, [especially the people who say they love Yah] if a false prophet tells them that they will be a millionaire they probably would not reject him! (Mark 7:6-9) (Mathew 7:21) You MUST NOT LISTEN to the words of that false prophet, even if what he says is true! Yah is testing you to see whether or not you love Him with your whole heart and whole soul (Deut 13:3). If you love Yah then you MUST follow him and revere him. Keep his commands and obey Him; serve Him and hold fast to Him (Deut 13:5).
The primary role of the Old Testament prophets was to make known the holiness of Yah and the covenant obligations, to denounce injustice, idolatry and to call Yahs covenant people to repentance and faithfulness. Being a prophet of Yah was a dangerous calling, they were frequently mocked, rejected, persecuted and killed (2 Chron 36:16) (Jer 11:21 18:18, 20:2, 7-10). The roles of modern day prophets of Yah haven’t changed, but false prophets of Satan aren’t concerned with repentance or holiness. (John 8:44). I personally know of some false prophets who have a lifestyle which includes lying, backbiting, gossiping, unforgiveness and hatred- NONE of the qualities line up with qualities of a true prophet of Yah. A true prophet of Yah doesn’t allow himself to become contaminated by watching worldly movies and television programs or by listening to unholy music. He will protect his anointing by not engaging himself in ungodly activities or conversations. A TRUE prophet of Yah isn’t attached to worldly things, he is not a FAME SEEKER, and doesn’t want your money! A true prophet of Yah doesn’t care what others say or think about him which allows him to BOLDLY speak what the spirit of Yah tells him to speak without ‘sugar coating’. The next time you encounter the “sew a seed” type prophet [“sew a seed so that your prophesy comes to pass”], remember that “the good seed are the children of the kingdom, which are sent (sowed) to bring in more children (harvest) through their testimony (their word-seed) Matthew 13.
THE BEST SEED TO SEW IS – YOURSELF into the Kingdom of Yah by repenting of your sins, and pursuing a life of holiness unto Yah! Not only will Yah speak directly to you without the need of a prophet, you will find yourself growing more spiritually! I’m not suggesting to avoid prophets, I happen to love the prophetic gifts but I love THE GIVER OF THE GIFTS (Yah) and pursing a lifestyle of holiness more than I do the gifts (Matthew 6:33). In closing, I can write a book on false prophets vs. true prophets of Yah but there are hundreds of such books that have already been written yet people are still being deceived by false prophets. One way to not become entangled in the snares of the false prophets is to seek Yah for yourself instead of seeking a prophet, spend quality time in prayer with Yah (at least 30 minutes to 1 hour every day of uninterrupted prayer), READ THE BIBLE, know what it says, and do what it says! Develop a lifestyle of fasting, and pursue holiness, you can’t delight yourself in sin and expect not to be entangled in the snares of the enemy! Have faith and BELIEVE that Yah hears you when you pray and that He will answer you. Yah is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Heb 11:6). If you happen to have a true prophet of Yah in your life, one who lives up to YAH’S STANDARD (being in total and complete compliance to the word of Yah) be grateful for him/her because they are truly a GIFT from Yah, and they are rare!
May God bless every one who has read my series on False Prophets. I pray that Yah will open your eyes to be able to discern what is of Him and what is of Satan. Yah said that IF IT WERE POSSIBLE even the elect would be deceived, It is my prayer that you are among Yah’s elect and that you wont be deceived by the tricks of the evil one, I pray that you will pursue a life of holiness so that the spirit of Yah will make His abode in you, Amen.
